The "HYDRA" also called "C-DIVE" is a 52 ft commercial catamaran dive boat. The boat was designed by Walter Schurtenberger. The vessel is Coast Guard approved for 35 passengers. She offers great operator speed (40 knots max.), comfort and impressive storage for dive gear.

Fiberglass and carbon fiber combined with epoxy resin and honeycomb core material, all vacuum bagged to ensure top quality a maximum durability.

The most unique feature of this dive boat is its semi submersible hydraulic dive platform on the back. This platform is 10 feet wide and is hinged to a 10-foot wide ramp connecting it to the boat and protecting divers from a seaway. This allows divers and snorklers to enter and exit the water very easily, unrivaled by other designs. Underway in the up position it the platform turns into a large after deck for lounging and sunbathing

 

The hull design and the weight distribution on this boat make it very sea kindly and comfortable, even in rough conditions and high speeds. This allows an operator to easily hold his schedule and almost eliminates seasickness amongst passengers.
