The "SYGNUS" also called "C-TRIP" is a 55 foot long and 30 foot wide, 49 passenger U.S. Coast Guard approved day charter catamaran.  This boat is designed by Walter Schurtenberger and is the result of many years of building and maintaining day charter catamarans. 

Design improvements include:

  • Uno-rig, for easier handling and and improved safety ( no flapping jib sheets )
  • Finn-keel, resulting in shallow draft (2'6")
  • - No centerboards, making it easier to beach
  • - Inboard diesels, for reliability, fuel economy and maneuverability
  • - More deck area, giving greater passenger comfort
  • - Fewer moving parts, meaning fewer repairs and less down time
  • - Lower maintenance cost equals more profit
